WHAT HAPPENED AFTER POLLY DIED ?
Isaac married Martha Lucinda Holcomb in 1863 after Polly died . It is believed that Martha was a cousin of PollyMartha’s first husband was Isaac Greene Jr .  Isaac Greene’s parents were Elijah Greene and Hannah Greene. He was from Kentucky and she was from Kanawha County. Isaac Greene died in the Civil war . Records show that he died in battle .
This may account for the story of Isaac Tyler being killed in the Civil War when in fact it was Martha’s first husband. Isaac Tyler did serve in the Civil War on the side of the South. His unit was the 46th Virginia Cavalry that later merged with the 26th Battalion of the Virginia Cavalry .

Martha was born in Bath County Virginia Feb.22 in 1837 and she died April 28,1931. Her parents were Hezekiah Holcomb and Sarah Cathrine Holcomb . They were born in Bath County Virginia . Martha and Isaac Tyler lived on Laurel Creek, a tributary of the Elk River in Webster County West Virginia.The location of there house was very close to the cave that Jeremiah Carpenter lived in with his family in hiding after Indians killed his bother and family in earlier times.
Isaac Tyler and Martha had several children together.
Morgan Wesley born May 7,1865, George R. born 1873 , Maryann born 1865, Lucinda born 1867, Margaret born 1866, Cathrine born 1868, Isaac Samuel born 1872, and Vinnie .
 
Isaac and Martha also raise the two children that Isaac and Polly had, James L. Tyler and John Henry Tyler.

 

Isaac and Martha also raise the two children that Martha and Isaac Greene had . Their names were Elijah B .Greene Born about 1857 and Hezekiah M. Greene born about 1859 .
