Some information about Zack‘s parents Hanson and Mary Jane McCourt Carpenter

Zack’s father Hanson was born Mar. 12, 1837 and died 22 Nov. 1923 at the age of 85 and was the son of John S.(born 1811 in Nicholas County) and Sydney Cowger Carpenter (born Randolph County) .
John S. was the son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Hamm Carpenter.

Hanson and Mary Jane were married Dec.20,1860.
Mary Jane was born in Braxton County West Virginia 4-4-1842 and died 2-20-1925. She and Hanson had 10 children. Their names were : Rhoda,Angleine,Ellen,Corilla,Sarah,Belle,James,Isaac,Zack and Mack.

Mary Jane was the daughter of Andrew McCourt . Andrew was from Bath County , Virginia and he was born about 1804. Her mother was Jane Corbitt McCourt from Bath County Virginia and she was born about 1803.The other children of Andrew and Mary Jane McCourt were: Margaret,Columbia,Beverly,James, Isaac C., and Isabela.
